customercare@play.com seems to work as I've just e-mailed it and got an auto reply with a call number.

thanks
I am looking for long time0 -
I also agree that the CS standards of play.com are falling and that I prefer not to deal with a supplier who makes it difficult to contact them by email.
So does anybody have an alternative supplier (not Amazon, who are just as bad if not worse), who still has a human face? I'd be happy to swap my allegiances...0 -

Ebuyer.com are good. Customer service is fairly decent. Raising tickets and they reply fairly quick or you can call them up. I use them for all my PC kit.0 -
I used play.com for years until I had a problem with them and spent a morning trying to find a way of contacting them. I make it a rule now to never buy anything from a company that doesn't show their contract information. Let's face it, if they don't show it they are telling you they only want to sell you things and not be bothered with your problems.0

Let down yet again by Play. Stupidly ordered a couple of USB sticks, which they immediately charged to my credit card. No sign of them 12 days after ordering, although they claimed to have posted them on 7 October. Now all it says is this, there's no way of cancelling for a refund, and they don't respond to emails:
Order Placed -Your order is awaiting processing. Once completed your order will be dispatched usually within 24 hours.
Do not trust this company - far too many cases of credit cards being charged without the goods being sent. Great (perhaps essential?) for their cashflow, but lousy for their long-suffering customers. Never again.0 -
This is a late post but Thanks for the email address and phone number for play.com
Out of interest I have used play.com for a long time now and had no major problems or issues that were not sorted out quickly. You may laugh, but this is true, about a year ago after waiting the annoying 21 days I rang play.com as I hadn't received an MP3 player I had ordered along with a Samsung 42" plasma TV. The girl was very helpful and apologised profusely and assured me a replacement would be posted that day. Next day I logged on to my account and noticed that the MP3 player had not been sent! However I also noticed that a new Samsung 42" TV had been selected for delivery and labelled "replacement, original not received". You are now holding your breath but don't worry, I phoned and explained they had made a mistake. The girl thanked me and then told me the MP3 I had ordered was no longer in stock and play.com were not expecting any more in. Hmm, That was that but I couldn't help thinking play.com could have sent me a FREE MP3 player for my honesty! Or am I just daydreaming about another place far, far away!0 -
Ordered a play.com USB stick listed on hotdeals I assume like a few other people here
In my order history said it was dispatched same day I ordered on 7th
Then out of blue I receive a dispatch email yesterday on 19th (& dispatch date changed online too) & it was delivered by courier today
Also the dispatch note lists a different order placed by someone with surname Boliya & postcode B13 9JE
If thats you then I wonder if you got my personal details too ?0 -
Another Play.com "lost in the mail" order to report here. I have had a pre-order with play.com since July. They "apparently" shipped it in November but it never arrived.
It was a video-game - a highly anticipated title with a big multiplayer, online feature: Friends of mine and the rest of the world have now been playing about a month, so Play.com have completely let me down, and I've missed all the buzz. I'm an adult, so I've just got on with other things instead, but taking my money and making some "it could be lost in the mail" excuse while I wait for something that is never going to arrive is really not cool.
It's obvious from all the posts here that Play.com are screwing up a lot of orders and taking no responsibility to separate their own mistakes from postage mishaps, which are very rare. No, it's easier to make us wait, so they can bundle all despatch/delivery scew-ups together, and hold our money for a month.0
