Barclaycard Rewards

Just got myself the recommended Barclaycard Rewards for travel (in case we ever get to travel again.) On the site here it says:

No fees or interest on spending and cash withdrawals overseas, plus 0.25% cashback on spending worldwide

The Barclaycard Rewards card has no fees on spending or cash withdrawals overseas. Unusually, it also doesn't charge interest on spending OR overseas cash withdrawals as long as you repay IN FULL.
But in the leaflet I got along with the card, I read (page 9) "There's just a single non-sterling purchase fee of 2.99% every time you make a purchase abroad. If you withdraw cash in a foreign currency you wil be charged a cash transaction fee of 2.99% (minimum £2.99).

I can't square this... can anyone? Help please!

The leaflet is probably old - did you receive the terms and conditions?

I have the Barclaycard rewards, on the summary box at the back statement it say’s 0.00% for non-Sterling purchase fee and cash fee.

Weird of them to send me an old leaflet, with my new card, but okay! Thank you for this!

You must have received some old terms and conditions by mistake, when I switched my old BarclayCard platinum to the rewards one the terms and conditions that came with it said:

    0.25% Cashback, Non-sterling purchase fee: 0.00% • Cash fee: 0.00%

My interpretation of this is that the "standard fee" is 2.99%, unless you've been offered a lower promotional fee. From the sounds of it you signed up for a different offer, which will override the standard fees. Either way it'd be worth checking - there should be a breakdown of fees in your credit agreement or on a recent statement that states exactly how much they charge you for various things. Otherwise get in touch with Barclaycard to clarify things.

I've used mine for several foreign currency transactions (online) and wasn't charged any fee.

I too have just signed up using the link from MSE but clearly the offer is tailored personally.
I was informed by online secure message there was a 2.99% handling on cash withdrawals. Also the terms are only offered  initially until 31st August 2023
      • The rewards card comes with 0% foreign exchange fees and cash back also comes with no non-sterling transaction fees on any purchases while you are abroad. You can make the most of this offer until 31st August 2023 however, if at that time these features become available to you permanently we will let you know.

Our rewards card with 0% foreign exchange fees and cash back has daily cash machine limit of £500.00 and 2.99% handling on cash withdrawals. The minimum handling fee is £2.99.
      • 1) Rewards No Fee -
0% on Foreign transaction fee until 31st August 2023 (excluding cash advance fees)
0.25% cashback on all purchases (usual cashback exclusions apply e.g. gambling)

That's not what's on offer on the BC website

I think the MSE Link is an old one if you check out Barclaycards website it says this, and checking it doesn’t mention anywhere about it being until 31st August 2023.

Also when I switched my old platinum one to the rewards card there was no mention of the August date. I know last year it was until August 31st 2023, it they have now dropped it.

I signed up for the Barclaycard Rewards card back in March. I got an email after joining saying that the cashback and no fees on foreign purchases are only valid until 31st August 2023 (see screenshot below).

They sent a separate email later in March saying they're no longer going to charge fees for cash withdrawals (see second screenshot below). They didn't specify a date when this will end.

I've got the August 2023 version of this card as well.
From what I can see, there's no point in me calling them and asking for a product transfer over to this reward card... especially as I've got 3 years remaining until the offers expire.
Oddly my card shows as a Platinum online, and I have the standard blue/grey platinum card not the purple reward one, however my statement shows I get 0.25% cashback and no fees abroad...
