Hair salon‘s adding 20% to customers bills plus £4 for PPE use

I've been told mine will increase due to PPE, disposable capes and towels, and also that will need more hair dye to cover my roots!  Not a problem, as having missed at least 3 appointments due to lockdown, I'm still saving on hair apts for the year,

Not sure what you expect, if a business has not earned an income for over a quarter of a year and now can only trade at a certain level due to restrictions, plus they have to clean, disinfect and provide PPE to keep (you) safe all (of which takes time and costs them money),  I would fully expect to have to pay a premium.  You shoudl have refused to pay there and then if you genuinely see this as a consumer issue (no doubt you were too embarrassed) You now clearly need to go and find a cheaper hairdresser, I suggest you confirm with the new hairdresser (if you can get in) what the pre-global pandemic price was though, just so that you can be sure you are not getting ripped off again by the money grabbing small business owner.............good luck
