Mintyrbc Thanks. I checked the installer t's & c's about quotations and they don't help at all clause 16 (d) says:
- the quotation must comply with any minimum requirements as to its form and content, as specified by the Scheme Administrator;
Yes the very detailed info you mention in your quote is consistent with the detailed quote I received for my Solar Thermal installation. Double Glazing firms - if you can get them to quote at all - not so detailed.

You can call or email them, looks like they even have a live chat function!

For all those who are still waiting for an e mail confirming receipt of their applications - I made my application today and received an e mail confirming receipt together with the application ref no. If you need to contact the scheme to check they've received your application you can e mail them as the above post from Sarn_B_T at: customer@green-homes-grant.service.gov.uk referring to your ref.no.0

External Wall insulation - EssexI have checked and the web site says we would be eligible however we cannot get quotes.Most companies on the Trust Mark authorised installers either don't answer the phone or emails/messages.The odd one that do say they are to busy, its not the time of year to install this type of insulation, they won't complete by scheme finish date or the one estimated quote we have got (with out them viewing our house) is approximately 3 times the cost of a quote we got three years ago!The scheme seems to have failed from the outset and this is very disappointing - a typical government bluster project!0

I started my enquiries for new double glazing last month and used companies on the trustmark site however they dont seem to be on there now. The ones that are I also enquired and one said "We are trustmark registered, but we are not eligible for the scheme." Ive got my 3 quotes for new double glazed windows and Im happy to go ahead with one but I am not sure I will be eligible for the funding if they are not on the trsutmark register.

Sorry I haven't been through all the earlier pages but was interested in recent comments about external wall cladding. As a result I just emailed Instagroup to check if they cover Cheshire. Previously spent many hours trying to find installers with limited success. As my disabled husband gets Attendance Allowance we qualify for a £10K grant. Up to now one quote will only offer to do the front of our 1920's bunglow and half of 1 side for just under £10K. Another quoted £15K subject to a survey being arranged in November. I presume this is for the complete property. As others have remarked, so many firms don't answer or say they don't cover the area. I shall keep trying ....
