I’ve had contact from 4 or 5 companies for flat roof insulation. I have supplied various details as requested, but so far no quotes/ visits.
I don’t think this scheme is going to be a great success!1 -

I messaged Sunak but have had no response from him either.0 -
I've had contact with several glaziers and they are all extremely frustrated by the handling of this scheme. It looks like only PAS2030-certified companies are eligible for the grant according to current info. These companies are extremely limited (e.g. less than 3-4 across the whole of London, and those are energy consultancies/super-contractors) - these few companies are also overwhelmed and they've hiked prices. For the average FENSA-registered and TrustMark-registered glazing company, it's not worth doing a PAS2030 certification - the demand on this (incentive) is not that high. Similar situation for companies that can do external or underfloor insulation. It's all a big mess - i can't see this scheme working given the extremely limited number of companies with PAS2030 or MCS certifications. Everyone is expecting further details to come out in the next few weeks, hoping that it'll be easier for installers and fitters to get into the scheme.

I own the house with my husband (we are separated and he has not lived here for over a year)I’m on universal credits so would I be eligible for the up to 10k as I’m on benefits or just the 5k as we own together?0

I would think you need your husbands signature too. He would gain also but depends if you are on speaking terms.0

MyBuilder has been in contact saying they can give quotes from tradesmen for work under this grant system. Will post the results of my request for quotes later on.2

I've had problems with this scheme too. I have cavity walls that I want to get insulated. When I fill in the form I say that I have no cavity wall insulation, and yet it doesn't give me the option to get insulation. I can only get solar panels or heat pumps. I really find it hard to believe that there are no companies around that can do insulation. It's really frustrating as I really wanted to get this done.0

Two weeks on from contacting "local installers" suggested by simple energy no one has returned my calls re quoting for work. Is this already a non starter given the tight timescale?0
