    That’s what I was trying to get at. At that time  you were already past the point you could have registered it, so it didn’t matter what they told you then

    If #3 was a replacement for #2 then there wouldn't be any warranty anyway as it had already been used ... unless the warranty T&Cs allowed for the balance of the warranty to apply to the replacement.
