    That used to be true but then Tony Blair introduced the White Goods Civil Liberties Act 1999 which over-rode the Queen's historic Constitutional Rights in this area.

    Until 1999 you could, but you'd now need to buy a fridge directly from the Royal Household, or from an authorised supplier with a Royal Warrant.

    There is of course the annual Fridge Upping on the Thames which is well worth viewing.  It's quite a challenge to get a swan into a fridge.

    They belong to you as does the debt finance used to pay for them.

    You can leave them behind for the next owner when you move if you want but the debt for their purchase remains yours until it is paid off.
