When I moved into my new build, it came with free white goods, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Who do these belong to when I move out?
I have a mortgage on the property.

The white goods, which are now secondhand, became yours upon purchase and you can either leave them with the property or take them with you. If they are integrated it makes more sense to leave them.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales3

You paid for them through the house purchase price.., they are yours. House builders are not in the habit of 'lending' white goods to house purchasers. Your house purchase contract should refer to them.0

It depends. If you state that they are included in the sale then they will belong to whoever buys your home. If you state that 'white goods are not included' in the sale then you will have to take them with you - I would ensure that the agent notes this in the particulars if they are built in units as buyers will expect that they are included and you will probably cause yourself problems when they get the info via their solicitors.iandy said:When I moved into my new build, it came with free white goods, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. They were more included than "free".

They belong to the Chuckle Brothers, but unfortunately one of them has died, so they are likely to be tied up in Chancery for many years.0

They are yours, silly pot noodle! Strictly speaking you paid for them with the cost of the house. You can take them or leave them or even say you will leave them for an extra £50 or whatever. That's what some people do. Once I bought a house though and the people who lived there took the integrated oven with them! Rude. They left the hob and took the oven, just left a hole in the wall. Don't do that. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Thank you AW618, I must admit that I was sad when Barry Chuckle died but your comment made me smile.AW618 said:They belong to the Chuckle Brothers, but unfortunately one of them has died, so they are likely to be tied up in Chancery for many years. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
