Trace Legal Department Threatening to take legal action against in county court

Options
Hi can some one please provide some advice have few parking warning/panelties with national car park limited , but have been receiving letters asking for high fee of 160 i'm assuming for each, and now received several letters from Trace legal department threatening to take me to county court and I do not want this at all. Can someone advice, they have sent several letters with 14 days time frame to responed I have missed that deadline several times. What is the best steps do take at this stage to prevent them from taking me to county court? any advice would be appreciated. Should I contact the legal representative and explain situation and offering to pay the actual parking fee for the time spent at the car park, as on one occasion I paid for 2hrs but was 15mins late and the other occasion/s I cannot remember as I use the car with other family members.
Kind regards

Why are you so concerned about a court appearance?

You are already defending one case, what's the problem?

Just follow the process as before.

How many actual parking tickets do you have?  That will give a reasonable indicator as to the likelihood of a court claim being raised against you - by NCP (or their solicitors), neither of which are Trace Debt Recovery.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Trace are just annoying timewasters and you can ignore these silly 14 day letters.
By adding £60 Trace has now tainted any claim made by NCP (foolish NCP)

If this continues you will no doubt hear from BWLegal who carry on adding fake amounts which means the courts will probably strike out the case for Abuse of process and you can claim your costs

Suggest you follow the sound advice (now given in both of your threads) but also send a PM to one of the board guides (Crabman, Savvy or Soolin) and ask one of them to merge your threads.

No, Trace don't have a legal dept.  Can you show us that letter (cover your name/address).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is not a fine, it is an invoice from an ex-clamper to compensate them for the alleged harm they suffered when you did what you did. We call it a scam. Pay them not a penny unless a judge so orders it.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.
