county court business centre regarding parking fees

This is my first time doing a thread I hope that people can help with this issue, I parked in a private car park for several minutes and I then left the park as they didn't have the parking app or unable to pay by card, only cash which I didn't have at the time. moving forward I have received letters asking for money etc...and recently I received a letter From county court business centre asking to pay several hundred pounds. can someone advice on what to do at this point as I don't want my credit file to be affected. I tried to look at other threads but I couldn't access the required materials.
Kind regards

Yes, read the NEWBIES thread second post (please read that thread FIRST - no link given, it's a sticky thread pinned at the tip of this forum...so hit the 'back' button and read it first).
The second post of that thread is about what to do with a court claim.
And then tell us the issue date of the claim and which PPC?I tried to look at other threads but I couldn't access the required materials.Yes, you can. Get off your phone if that is the issue.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You haven't said anywhere that you have received a County Court Claim.
If you have, and I suspect you have, then please tell us the Issue Date on that Claim Form.3 -
Thanks for your quick response, I have typed NEWBIES in the search engine here, but couldn't find the thread you mentioned, I am using my laptop, can you give any further direction that would be helpful.
And yes it is a county court claim, the issue date is 28 June.0 -
previous date was by error, the actual issue date is 28th May1

solomey1234 said:previous date was by error, the actual issue date is 28th MayWith a Claim Issue Date of 28th May, you have until Tuesday 16th June to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 30th June 2020 to file your Defence. That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create and file a Defence, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.2

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
