Following emergency maintenance on both our smile and Co-operative Bank systems, we restored access to smile online banking and the smile mobile app for our customers. The root cause was an error on a smile database that occurred during the routine maintenance on Saturday 4 July, it continued to impact smile digital services in the following days and once identified and fixed a system restart restored services for customers in the early hours of Saturday 11 July. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience this issue caused, as we know this is not the standard of service expected from us. Thank you for bearing with us.
