If you have read the NEWBIE sticky you should have found the standard defence template where the parking company or the solicitors add on a fake £60. What more help do you need please? If it is ParkingEye, there is a defence written for them. If it is any other PPC and they haven't added spurious charges, there are about fourteen other standard defence examples to choose from.
The claim form always look a little suspicious due to the CCBC using poor quality photocopies.
Also if you have read the NEWBIE you will now know that you cannot get a CCJ unless and until you have been to court, lost and failed to pay whatever the judge ordered in the timescales that the judge set.
Sounds like your solicitor friend isn't much of a friend or much of a solicitor! Maybe he/she would like to pay for you!5 -
First step you need to tell us the issue date
Then you need to foloow the instructions, that answer every possible question, in teh NEWBIES THREAD to acknowledge service online
You must do so, and confirm so.5 -
Your firendhas given you poor advice.
It is not a fine, it is an invoice from an ex-clamper to compensate them for the alleged harm they suffered when you did what you did. We call it a scam. Pay them not a penny unless a judge so orders it.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.3 -
I would write to INTU and ask for the ticket to be cancelled. Surely they need customers if they have any hope of continuing as a business.
The PPC might be trying to just milk the last drop out of this dying shopping centre which along with the Potteries, Trafford and Lakeside are on the downhill slide.

It's free parking with no time limit so are they saying that you did not park in a designated space? You need to get some images of the signs.
FYI INTU are in administration.

AnyOne that can help with putting my defence forward on the form ?Just the job for you solicitor friend. There again, given her advice so far, are you looking to win?
INTU won't have issued proceedings, surely? Who exactly is the claimant and who are the solicitors? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
