Nice idea to get people going to restaurants who might not want to go0

Mon - Wed is very limited for me, unless I was on holiday. The exclusion of alcohol is interesting. What happens with somewhere like Wetherspoons with a ‘free’ pint included with your meal when there are two different VAT rates?0

Up to £10 - better than nothing I guess, but it won't have me rushing to eat out0

Is this not got to be a lot of work for the small establishments - seaside cream teas, cafes, take-aways ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Very nice for those who would normally go to eat out.And can afford it while not earning. On a Mon, Tues or Weds.Between 10am and 2pm.On a full moon. And who on earth came up with the slogan - "Eat out to help out"? It wouldn't be out of place if it was promoting the sex industry, instead.
Conjugating the verb 'to be":

I wonder how many people will actually make use of this? Before lockdown I ate out on a Tuesday and Thursday because of my work routine, but I'd just pick a cheap chain pub meal deal. I suppose if work has gone back to normal by then I'd pick a place that has signed up and save a little money over the course of the month. My husband and I eat out occasionally if we're already in town doing something else, but I can't see us making a trip out to go to a restaurant "just because it's half price". Dining out is something we tend to save for birthdays and other celebrations. I don't think we're particularly weird for being like that? It's an interesting idea and I'm not going to turn my nose up at the savings if I happen to be eating out, but I'm not convinced it will be a huge cash injection for the industry.

The amount of money I have saved since lockdown has made me release how much I waste eating out etc. Going to keep saving.3

Can this 50% subsidy be augmented with an existing 2 for 1 offer? If so, could you end up eating for free?
