it may be different in your area but selling on FB has been tricky here with people messaging but not necessarily buying and wanting to slash the asking price!
I did have a Monzo account but wasn't overly impressed when there were problems and I couldn't contact them.  Starling have been reliable.
A lot of accounts do the `Tilly tidying`.  I can do it on my Nationwide app but not the main account at the moment. As I said I can also do it on Starling.  I find it quite painless to squirrel bits of money over.
I endorse your comments re surveys.  When I see a Prolific one I do it straightaway as otherwise it`s gone!
I also do Crowdology who pay direct but seemed to be ineligible for lots of theirs maybe due to my age!
  • Yeah! I had a bit of a stressful time when I was giving something away for free I might rethink that and 3bay it instead and maybe state I only post out on a certain day of the week, maybe finish on a Sunday and post Monday/Tuesday.

My Halifax account does 'Tilly tidying' (love that phrase :-) ) but not at the moment because of the OD :-( . I managed 50P this month when my DH first got paid. I forgot to say that I signed up to Plum through Swagb's a couple of weeks ago and that has been squirriling money away even with the overdraft and I've just checked and it has put £13 in the savings and £13 in a stocks and shares ISA.

I'll look into Crowdology. I'm finding the same with being locked out of surveys. I seem to have the trifecta 55 year old white women in the south west. The daft thing is I would be great with a lot of them as I have a 13, 14 and 18 year old whereas at my age a lot of women are grandmothers. I live in Cornwall where most think of SW as Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset area and we have a completely different dynamic down here. I've travelled too and lived in a lot of different countries. I'm also disabled and self employed. So i completely mess up the algorithms. I've started to understand what I need to play around with at the selection stage though.

Thanks @ceremony. We went to see The Dark Knight, we're a family of geeks and none of my 3 had seen it on the big screen. The cinema do all seats for £5 on a Monday and we didn't buy popcorn so it was a fairly cheap and we supported a local business, not a chain. Very pleasant experience with their lovely staff, plastic guards up, everyone in masks, a new one way system in and out, longer gap between showings so they can get in and clean, pre booking seats and in the screen a minimum of a row free in front and behind and one group per row. there were only 12 people in the cinema who all wanted to see the film so there was no talking, fussing, russling, and general disruption. Just complete silence as we all enjoyed the film on the big screen. Best cinema experience ever!

Sorry to confuse you @janb5. Plum is an app that looks at your account and squirrels away money (Tilly tidying) even if you are in the OD.It puts it into pockets and one of those pockets is a stocks and shares thing. I've set up so 1/2 goes to saving and 1/2 to s&s, I did through Swagb's so I got the points from it. I'll give it a months trial and see what happens and will cancel if needed.

Two £10 amounts hit PP this afternoon  from LPs and SBs so they've been put into OD1 account and that is at £229.93 so creeping in the right direction. I've lost out on a couple of surveys on LifePoints as they were really going so slowly and long winded and I caught the wrong button and closed the survey down. So that was 225 points down the pan for nothing and I've missed out on another £5.

Prolific I have had nothing for a week and I am still waiting for a survey to be approved so I can get another £5 or so.

Swagb's I am getting the Gold surveys but they have been less but the Peanut Labs surveys i can't get into, I'm locked out. I've checked and it seems to be a common chrome problem they have and as I'm on a chromebook I can't do anything about it. I've lost so much with that.

Propulsive have sent me quite a few and I get 5 minutes or so in and am told I'm not suitable and will be entered in the monthly draw for £250 so getting nowhere there.

YouGov has been incredibly slow and I'm up to around 450 points, you need 5000 before they payout.

It's all a bit plod, plod, plod at the moment. I'm going to try Crowdology tonight.

Oh! and i had a delivery today of dishwasher tablets from one of the survey sites to trial for extra points.

  • Cheers m'dear I'll check them out.
  • Glad you enjoyed your cinema trip. We went for DD’s birthday treat back in July and was impressed at how well thought out the whole experience was, from booking the tickets to seating to one way system.
