Finao21, You should name and shame this developer!
  • Our developers originally agreed to pay £18749 stamp duty. Due to the changes they have confirmed they will still honour this, so we are due £15k back from them. At the time I checked with our mortgage lender - Halifax who confirmed this was ok as it was stated as a cash incentive for this amount. They have now sent a letter to our solicitor to confirm they are not accept the incentive. Has anyone had experience with Halifax with this? Around £8k we could state moving, legal and estate agent costs. But not sure about the other £7k? Thanks
