That's exactly my worry. It is still live on the company house website and on his business website
What are you worried about though? It just means that at least some mail will carry on coming. Registered offices are typically just a mailing point (e.g. the company's accountants/lawyers offices), it doesn't mean people will be turning up expecting to find him in your house.

Inform previous owner that you might be willing to continue holding on to their mail (rather than binning or sending back "not known at this address") for a fee of £78:43/month.  And would they kindly let you have their decision, together with a bank transfer of £78:43 with 3 working days.

I can't see why such a fee would be unlawful:  Anyone - it would be good to know if it is unlawful!

Not "unlawful" but it wouldn't be enforceable. My fee for this advice is £299.
  • I had/have the same issue. Anything that was junk mail i.e. catalogues etc I just rang the company and pretended to be them and said I didn't want anymore mail. One business letter keeps coming through but am not sure what I can do about that. The guy who used to own the house was a bit cr&p at admin.

Anything with a return address on the envelope gets "Moved in 2016" on it, and put back in the post box.
    Anything without gets binned.

We still get post for a previous owner who did a runner leaving unpaid bills for his mortgage, council tax and BMW finance. We just write "Not known here for the last 5 years" and post it back.

I love all the post I get from previous residents. I always forward it for the first three months, but after that if it's still arriving I open it up and have a good old nose.

Someone who used to live here was in terrible debt, despite earning 75k a year! Terrible habit for buying designer shoes.
@jonnygee2 - that did make me giggle! Why were you opening my post? Oh I thought it was mine - oops!

Our previous home owner didn’t change their address with the DVLA so didn’t know about a small bus lane fine which soon became a four figure bailiff visit. Bailiff’s weren’t any trouble and took my word for it that they’d moved and didn’t hear from them again.
I did return their mail to sender for about six months when we first moved in and had no forwarding details for them, not that it’s my responsibility.
