Previous house owner still using my address!

Apologies if it is the wrong board as I could not find more suitable one. I am looking for advice please. I bought my current house 4 years ago. The previous owner used to run a business from the house and receives alot of post. At the beginning, and for nearly a year after I moved in, I used to collect the post for him and he will collect it every few weeks. After that I told him that I Am not happy to continue with this and any post which is for him will be destroyed. Last year (3 years after he sold me the house) I received a parking penalty for a car which I do not own. After alot of hassle with the parking company and the DVLA I found it was one of his family cars which was still registered at my address. I got the DVLA to remove it from my address. Now I discovered that his business is still registered at my address and using it as contact address on his website. Even worse, I looked into the company house website and found that his company is still registered at my address. Iam getting fed up with this and worried about any future implications. What should I do?

Personally I would just write 'not known at address given' on the envelope and put it in the nearest post box.

Filing false information at Companies House is a criminal offence (although I think the first ever prosecution was 2018, 9 years after this offence was created). Contact them. You could even report it to police, if you cared that much - they may take more notice give your long correspondence with him on using your address.
There won't be any implications for you, except maybe junk mail. The worst that can happen is some form of debt collection, but if you keep ID and mortgage/title documents to hand they won't be a problem.0 -
Not sure how you knew it was a parking fine unless you opening his mail...I would of just chucked it in the bin and let them pile on the extra charges and fees. Nothing will happen to you as any debts are in the name of the person not the address. As long as you have prove that you bought the property from this person and give them the forwarding address in case of bailiffs I wouldn't of thought you can do a lot about it.0

Why are you not just binning everything? The DVLA didnt remove anything from anywhere i can tell you that 100%.
There's nothing you can do. If his business has mandatory ombudsman registration, you could complain there. But - even with potentially some offences - there's no action going to be taken realistically.0 -
Returning the mail as "gone away" might get remove some of it from the relevant mailing lists. There are no "future implications" for you, just the hassle of getting rid of the mail. Hopefully it will sort itself once he realises he's missing important mail as well as the junk.0

That's exactly my worry. It is still live on the company house website and on his business website0

you can register with the mail preference service and this will stop the majority of the mail coming through0
