NOW TV Packages

I am currently with Virgin Media . My contract runs out shortly and I have had so much trouble with Virgin and I am looking to switch to another provider. NOW TV appeared to be offering much cheaper packages for Broadband,TV and phone free anytime( phone anytime is absolutely essential to me). Do you need to have a smart TV for NOW TV. Being much cheaper is there a hidden catch

You just need a means of accessing NOW TV and connecting to your screen.

Smart TV, firestick, games console, laptop, phone...

Looks like you want to have BB etc as well as NOW TV, you're with Virgin, check before you jump ship, do you have Open reach line available?
If not, read some of the posts on this forum for potential pit falls and costs

In case you are not aware, NOW TV service is provided over broadband (fibre recommended) connection and won't provide you with the free channels such as BBC, ITV etc.   You would need a TV aerial for Freeview reception, or satellite dish with Freesat receiver or old Sky sat box.

To watch NOW TV channels on a TV screen, you either need one of their NOW TV devices, or own a recent Samsung or LG smart TV.

That's not strictly true as you can access BBC, ITV etc, you just have to go through their apps, which are available on one of the NowTV home screens. It's very "clunky" and not very user friendly. It was the one thing I really hated when I swapped from Virgin to NowTV.
