If they are solely in his name then nothing needs to be done or said as he will be liable regardless if you are bankrupt or not as technically your not down to pay so your council tax will just carry on as normalPinkbunny2000 said:Is it automatic or do I have to inform the council?
i just found out all my council tax bills are in my partners name0 -
As above it's not your bill so remove from your SOA.
Just a thought what about utility bills? Whose name are they in?0 -
They don't see it like that if it's only in his name then he is fully liable to pay the council tax bill and if you was to get your name out on now just to have it cleared it would look suspicious to the council and official receiver plus even if it was half and half he would still be liable for the full amount I just got lucky I thinkPinkbunny2000 said:

From another debt siteCouncil Tax
All council tax debts from previous years are included in bankruptcy, whether or not the council has issued a summons for them.
n.b. if you are living with someone else who is liable to pay council tax (eg not a child or a student) then you are probably jointly liable for the council tax, so the council will seek to recover the whole amount from your partner.

If it’s is removed from the SOA then it could be classed as surplus income, and claimed by the OR. I say again, leave it in.luvchocolate said:As above it's not your bill so remove from your SOA.

The examiner will remove it anyway...if you do it now we can try to balance your outgoings to absorb that amount0

Groceries seems high
Other travel seems high too that would need to be explained.
TV license is 12.56 per month so the OR would query this.
Are all your bills split exactly half down the middle as your official receiver will expect that to be the case.1 -
