I would suggest you read everything you can on BR procedure to help you understand.
I found the insolvency service was worth a read...also the stickies on here including the Welcome thread.
There's a lot to get your head round.
Also I found Stepchange very good...definitely worth a call to one of the debt free charities1 -
You need to leave council tax in as there are two adults in the house so your council tax will be payable by the other adult.Does the other adult not have any income?1

First time poster here.
I went bankrupt on 19th June.
When I had the interview with the OR, I queried about the council tax and he said no, they won't be taking the council tax because my wife's name is on the council tax and she's not the one going bankrupt even though I'm the only one that pays the tax.2 -
Thanks all, so maybe I can get half the council tax taken off?0

The way I see it you will not be paying council tax during this financial year.
If they do decide the other adult has to pay it..then it still needs to come off your SOA.
That's just my thoughts1 -
