Great re thinking of sommat new...never too late to learn! How prev convictions affect diff jobs depends on what the convictions were and what job you want to do IYKWIM! I recon do an evening class in smething you like the look of to get back into study & see how you go? Things like psych take years (I think about the same as a GP?) but why not also thik of getting some careers counselling...really helped me when I was at a crossroads...

Thanks everyone..my own Troll..I must be honoured...LOL...saddos like that don't bother me as I take their money every day of the week....
What does annoy me is they have used Panias name!!!!...I have had another great day moneywise as well.Well over target again.
Kizzy ..it's a good thing joining the navy my son loves it so it will give your son something that the outside world here doesn't...there's not much available for them here ..that's why my son joined.Enjoy your birthday do.

Evening all..hope you are all ok...
What a lovely day again today..not a lot happening here ...just the usual stuff...work etc.Had a good day on the cab again so that's great.I have updated my sig as loan 3 came out today and am getting nearer that £10k now..so all is happy here.
I got the prospectus today and have had a quick look through it and will look at it further after tomorrow.
I'll be at work in the morning and then have my exam in the afternoon so will do a bit of reading up tonight ready.Then all that's left to do then is to have the examiner drive around with me whilst I have passengers!!!

hi Taxi - glad to see things are going well (what exam btw? if I am not being too nosy) and how soon before you will have the loans paid in full?

Hi Dragon ...you are not being nosey at all....my loans all finish in 2011.No 1 and No2 were consolidation loans (before I enrolled here) and No 3 is the loan I took out in july last year for my brand new taxi....there is no point in overpaying them.
My intention is to pay all the CCs off and let the loans run their course.As soon as the CCs are paid I am going to overpay my mortgage and would ideally like to be mortgage free at the same time as my loans in 2011!!!!!
The exam is nothing interesting it is the NVQ/BTEC level 2 Transporting Passengers by Taxi and Private Hire...we have to have this qualification now and it was shoved on us last week....
Tues was 4 hr induction, followed by full day weds and thurs...followed by exam tomorrow followed by an assessment with instructor in the car.
My DH has driven a cab 20+ years and myself 4+ years...will be glad when it's over.I wasn't pleased at losing 3 days and 3 nights money last week though...due to being on this course.

Great that the troll didnt upset you I must be REALLY boring as never had one on my diary!! lol! Oo assessments - always nerve racking even f you know what youre doing arent they!!

Oh great news on having to do another qualification :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: loss of earnings AND I bet you had to pay for the privilege as well!
