Hi taxi, congrats on the £1000 overpayment - that's humungous! Looks like we'll be neck and neck very soon.

Good luck with the Halifax card - but no rush, we've still got 5 months 0% on our Egg cards. I'll follow your next moves with interest and see if I can copy you once again! I'm not too worried about my 0% period ending as when I cleared my Sainsbury's card the other day they said I had a balance transfer offer of 2% with no fees on the card, so I'm hoping it will still stand in May.

Thanks for that...it would be nice to make a big dent in that egg card as that's my next one to go..jan and feb are usually quiet months on the cab so may only be able to make little overpayments those months but will do my best..then my next step will be to save to pay one of the loans off...but will look into making survey money etc
  • Hi Taxi
just catching up with your new diary. have had my hysterectomy and now recovering at home. Didn't appreciate how uncomfortable I would feel and how i would get so tired so quickly.:o Can't wait till i am through the other side and back at work like yourself, although it feels a long way off at the moment.
Congratulations on your overpayments, those balances are really dropping now, and the holiday savings looking healthy:D
So loving hearing about JJ and xmas, wish we had a little one around again it makes everything so much more magical. DD is my baby and she is 16 now so too old for all the xmas stuff. Suppose I will have to wait till I am a nana, although I hope that's not for a few years yet:eek:

    take care

    Hi Sophiesmum,
How lovely to hear from you..I was wondering if you'd had it yet!!!...make sure everyone is looking after you and you haven't got to think about work yet..put it to the back of your mind..it's a major operation and very very tiring you must rest a lot ...when did you have it?...you will know that it's the best thing ever (when you get over it)...I'm still tired and I had mine in April!!!
I hope they are running around after you...holiday spends look good...
My totals are only shifting as I learnt how to live very frugally before my op and even more so after my op...
I'm so glad you're back as I've missed you loads...take care xxxx

It was only a few months ago july that I bought the new cab and that brought me up to nearly £43k owing...I can't believe I've paid that amount off in such a short space of time!!!!:confused::confused: then there's what I'd paid off up until july...
