  • Ah well at least they have come up with a solution. El's hubby was creased with his back, i feel every sympathy for you. so nice hot bath and painkillers should do the trick.

I remember going with a friend in the States to her doctors with her back problem - the doctor said it was "because you are overweight" without even looking at her! when he did he went bright red! she was slim, fit (other than the back being thrown out!), indeed the previous week he had wanted to see her again because she seemed underweight for her height :rotfl:

I'm glad they have come up with a good and easyish (I hope!) problem solver (I hope you will be able to sort that out and soon!) - I hope the Doctor can give you some decent pain relief!

Hi everyone...have been to Drs today and whilst the weight is partly to blame it is totally not the cause.
Dr has dictated a letter to physio and am waiting for that now.She sent me to the nurse and they have given me Champix and I'm going to be going to weight management classes when they sort that out as well...
So guess my new life is starting ....I may have to have a scan on my back as well so will wait and see.I need to stay on these pain killers for now and I can take paracetamol on top of them.
Hope everyone is having a good day xx.....updated sig as £25 has come off my Virgin card xx

Just catching up taxi - glad you got to the doctor - sounds like they have some useful things lined up which should help. If you do start a new diary - make sure you tell us where it is - don't want to lose you!!

Good luck with the stopping smoking - brilliant idea - save money and improve health. We'll all be rooting for you!

Hi taxi, I hope the new tablets help. The physio and weight management should be a good help with your 'new life' project. I'm starting mine next week too so we can encourage each other along the way.
