Hi taxi - sorry the pain is bad. And work is still slow? I think round here everybody's staying home cos of the weather, and I rang my brother in Lancashire and he's at home as well.... sorry :( Hope the stiffness gets better - do you self-massage at all?

HI KC..no don't self massage but have a tens machine that I use sometimes...that's quite good.
Nobody has any money at the moment I think that's why it's quiet and a lot of people don't get paid until next week.Just have to plod on regardless.

Its true, isn't it, there just isn't a lot of money around at the moment. Plodding on seems to be the order of the day....

  • It will pick up soon Taxi. Everyone is probably regrouping until the next round of hen/stag do's, then there is the 'Thank God the kids are back at school, i can go out and treat myself bunch'..
I hope your back feels better soon. I think it naffs you off even more when it plays up. Can Mr. T give you a massage?

aww hugs taxi...can you not take some dosh out of the emergency fund for massage? after al if you cant work due to bad back you'll be stuffed so its an investment in you after all! know what you mean though...hard when they cost so much - can spent 44 on mine and no matter how good they are its alot of dosh when you aint got it!

Hi everyone...today was a lot better at work..so not too bad...I'm loathe to pay money out on a massage when I can be paying it off debts. If it gets to the point I can't work then I will reconsider. The painkillers are working a bit anyway so maybe a few more days and I'll feel a lot better...going to have a nice soak after to see if that helps.
Updated my sig as have paid £70 off BMI card today and put £30 in emergency savings.
Also just off the phone having paid our taxi insurance.
I think the aches and pains are caused by me being severely overweight and I really want to diet and exercise to get rid of the weight but how can I exercise while I'm in a lot of pain?..so it's a vicious circle.
I am giving up smoking on Friday...and that £10 per day is going in my emergency funds...(it's friday as my DD goes on holiday on thursday which is my day off and she smokes..so if she's not here I'll get over the first few days before she comes back and also gives me time to get books from the library to read in the cab so that I'm not tempted to smoke)
I'm also going to eat less to try and lose weight and when my back is feeling better I'm going back to the gym..so feel that a new diary7 may be starting but don't know how to do links.
Hope you've all had a good day xx

Morning all..it's silly o'clock again and I'm off to work in a minute.Another £196.60 paid off my debt today as a loan came out.
I wish they would hurry up changing these DDs over as I need to sort out my money and it's a pain going to 2 banks.
Hope you all have a good day xx

Ouch - thats early Taxi! Glad work went better yesterday - OH is still not home and he went out at 5.00pm last night - poor lad!

Ditto on the smoking and the overweight thing - thats my plan to tackle when finances are straight again - such fun times ahead.

OH suffers really bad with his back after a crash years ago and his doctor suggested which type of exercise he could do (tbh it was pretty much just swimming).

Hope today is going well, Im off to work myself now so will catch up later. x x

Hi Penguin and all...that was a long night for your DH...hope you've had a good day at work.
Today I went to work but had stuff on my mind and couldn't concentrate and it was also very quiet so came home at 11.30am...made a couple of phonecalls and fell asleep.
Bumped into Whatatwit this morning walking down the road so gave her a lift to her work so it was nice to talk for a few minutes as haven't seen her for ages.
When I got home there was a appointment for DH for late september for his medical for the crash.
I have to go and see the accountant tonight at 6pm as the solicitors have requested some more stuff and he doesn't know what to do...so hope this isn't going to turn into a big mess. This is why I can't concentrate today so will be glad when I've seen him...at the same time I can drop DD2 off at DD1s house as she is going on her holidays tomorrow with her friend for the first time and SIL is taking them to the airport.
Nothing else happening around here.Hope everyone has had a good day xx
