hi taxi - hide the car keys, get the treats in and BOTH of you relax this weekend. You have both had a nasty shock - he has also had physical injuries - you need to give yourselves time. Right now you are the priorities not the debt busting. You'll catch up with that again soon enough.

Thanks we are really happy about that as DH was really worried he hadn't passed.We have the final driving test on the 2nd July but we have been told we'd passed it anyway(the driving bit..but they have to take you out twice)..it was the BTEC that was the worry.

aww taxi just caught this - HOW AWFUL! Poor you & OH...I know when I had my accident (which wasnt as bad as this!) I was in shock for about 3 days & can totally relate to the feeling of feeling that was it which really shakes you up...seeing the car also makes things worse as makes you realise how lucky he is...Its no wonder both of you feel battered & bruised & great that the insurers are being so quick...I wasnt as lucky with DL bit pleased you have had a postive exp...no doubt their scared re the payout lol! Thank goodness he was ok though...could have been so much worse so both of you have lots of hugs, early nights & go gently. Time like this the debt is secondary...absolutely nowt to feel ashamed of & youre so good at debtbusting that you will have caught up with yourself in no time .Let me know if I can do anything to help but hugs meanwhile...:) PS well done in the exam - we knew you would be OK but these things are always nerve racking arent they eh!

Awwww Thanks everyone ...it's times like this that the MSE community really come together and it's nice that people care enough to post including people that don't normally post on my diary..so a big thank you from me and DH...
I feel a lot calmer today still tired but not as exhausted...DH is sound asleep so must be in less pain...so that's good news. We are going out later so that he can get used to the car(his idea not mine) and he wants to go back tomorrow night as it is quiet on a monday and he will be able to ease back into it...I will let him try and if it's too much for him he can come back home.
I am going back tomorrow as there is no reason I can't work except stress and tiredness which should be gone by tomorrow if I take it easy today.
