Hi! EveryoneIs anyone has similar problems? I have already wait 7 weeks and still have not receive the decision. MB called Santander and was advised that there is no specific timescale for compliance team getting a decision regarding overseas gift deposit. Feel So frustrated without knowing when Santander will get back to me. Will it take another one month waiting? Single applicant-a full time employee 70% BTL mortgage.0

Jimwaz18 said:Just an update we have had our formal mortgage offer today from Halifax and we applied on Wednesday 13th same day all income verified with hard credit searches. The next day 14th desk top valuation done then today 15th full Mortgage. It took 3 days compared to Santander which we applied on the 16th October and they still haven’t seen our appeal yet haha. My advise to people being messed about by Santander is go to Halifax0

6 weeks now and I'm still waiting on a Santander decision. Becoming very frustrating as my house builder (new build) offer a cash back incentive to push through the completion before 31 January!
The strange thing about Santander for me is that they appear to ask a few questions, you submit your answers and then wait at least another week....for more questions. Why can't they submit everything they want to ask in one single document, then you get everything you need together and submit your reply.
I'm getting silly questions such as "why haven't you paid your end of year tax bill yet?" (as it's due 31 January?) and, a week later, "can you show us you have the funds to cover the unpaid tax bill?" (why couldn't they have asked that with the original question).
Anyone else still waiting?0 -

Have been watching this thread for a couple of weeks. We seem to have had a much more positive experience. Submitted on 4th Jan via mortgage broker, valuation done on 11th Jan. Offer issued today 18th Jan. 2 weeks from submittal to offer. Neither of us are SE, 60% LTV0

I was told by my broker that today was likely to be decision day as it's 8 working days since they last asked a bunch of questions - nothing come through at all. My application is still in the underwriting queue, after 8 workin days!0
