Yes.... it is a Neon Reef thread and I will pipe up now.  I just can't go this company anymore.  3 supplies I had with them and all was well.   Then they put the prices up and these electricty accounts went elsewhere.  Now 2 of these are just over £100 in credit.  1 was £20 in debit.  The 1 that was in debit was billed by them and paid by me.  The 2 that are in credit oddly, have not been billed.  Strange that.  So I will sit here and wait for the bills.  I will then claim every penny I can off them under OFGEM rules.  The other thing that annoys me about them is that after bumping up everyone on the original tariff to the new one - MARINE -  they then quiety introduce a new one, much lower priced - NEPTUNE- they are crap.
If you speak to them on online chat they will generate your final bill within minutes and can arrange your refund. Though I suspect you'd prefer to wait the 8 weeks so you can get your £30/60 compensation.

Hi, thanks for reply, yes I will hold off and get money off them.  If they can generate bills in minutes then I will leave it to them to do this.  = weeks and weeks.

For me, last day of supply by Neon Reef was 22 June. Bill covering energy to that date was issued on 8 July. Online chat on 23 July to request refund. Hopefully will receive refund very soon. It is very odd that they are unable to use the DD authorisation applicable to paying them for the purpose of the refund, but request a new one. Other energy suppliers have not had that problem.

My £19.98 credit has been refunded within 10 working days.  Reasonably straightforward refund.
  • I switched to another supplier on 24th of June and didn't receive any bills after that date. I estimate, I own them around £5, so not in rush to chase them. Can wait 2 months and then claim compensation as well.

When is your normal billing date as that is when a bill should be produced.  Have you checked your on line account, they don't tell you a bill has been generated.

  • My billing date was 28th of June. I checked app and online account and nothing there. No new bills since 4th of June.

They have 6 weeks to produce a "final" bill so until 5th August. That may be based on estimated final reads if they claim that they haven't received your opening reads as given by you to new supplier.
When I left Avro, the final bill was dated 1st April 2020 (altho not received til end of April !!) BUT they emailed me on 8th April to say that they were still waiting for a verified final leccy reading. Finally paid the balance early May.

I suspect that due to your switching date and they knew a switch was in progress they stopped the billing process for that month and the bill will be produced on the next normal billing date..
