Walking my dog yesterday chanced upon a globe in lovely condition sitting on a wall with a sign that said 'Free.  Please take me'.................so I did !

Never had a globe before and my geography is awful.  Lots of fun to be had then I will pass it on to whichever niece/nephew wants it.

A few weeks ago my Father came to stay.  He went for a walk and came back with 2 tins of pretty blue paint.  Unopened.  Again with a sign saying 'Please take me'.

Today I found a pound !

I haven't been quite so lucky.  I started running again at the end of July and have picked up 8p so far on my early morning runs, all coppers shining in the morning sun.  They've gone into the "coppers jar" to be cashed in when it's full.  (It holds about £20-worth of 1p and 2p coins.)

I happened upon a set of 3 ornate metal plant stands.  These are now proudly displaying pots in the garden.  I also picked up an enormous ‘terracotta’ plant pot.  Drove down to collect it only to find it was plastic!  Absolutely filthy but got the liquid bicarbonate out and scrubbed it to within an inch of my life.  This highlighted some grapes and vines in relief which I picked out with silver paint.  So chuffed that I took a pic and showed it to the lady who had left it outside her house.  I think she wanted it back 😀

Was at the Co-op this morning and picked up 3 money off vouchers.  Don't understand why people just throw them on the floor.  2 of them I can use.  The one that I cannot use has been put near/under the product.  I cannot take credit for this as there is a lady on this forum called the Coupon Angel (in my head).  I got the idea from her.

One of the coupons is £1.50 off a £15.00 pound spend.  The mind boggles.  The 'thrower' must be rich !

I am frequently amazed at the lack of attention people display in shops, not checking prices and not comparing deals on even basic things.  Sure, some brands taste better or smell better than others, but with most things you can’t tell the difference between premium and value brands.  That really surprises some people.  (It’s one of the reasons I love watching “Eat Well For Less”.)

I watch that too.  I love the very basic, healthy, quick cook meals for ideas.  

I was standing behind someone with a £1.00 voucher for something that they were buying and as I couldn't use it offered it to them.  They politely declined.  I don't believe I look particularly deranged............ 

By the same token ('scuse the pun) a lady offered me a 25p voucher for fresh milk as she had dairy allergies.  I politely and happily accepted.

The other day I once again found a discarded money off voucher.  £3.00 off a £30.00 spend.  I knew I wouldn't be able to use it as my small freezer is full and apart from fresh produce I have sufficient.  So I began my search for a recipient.

I found a young mother with a full trolley.  In the end she was really pleased.  After she realised that I was trying to give her something, not ask for something.  Went to pay for my milk and there it was on the floor..........a brand new 5 pence piece.  Rewarded methinks..............

I am a great believer in the balance of giving and receiving balabooberlies.  A few months ago, I had given a considerable amount of money to help a family member knowing it would never be paid back.  About a week later, I opened my front door (it opens onto the footpath) and there in front of me was £20!  I did look to see if anyone had dropped it but there was nobody around.  I had only stepped back in a few seconds before so who knows where it came from.   I gave half to charity and spent the rest went on wine 😊.
