Ahhhhh, so that's the reason.  I love finding pennies/change but things have been very sparse.  I thought it was because everyone was as broke as me !

zeus and i have found a total of £2.68 on our early morning walkies so far this year, all small change. we usually end up bringing random bits home....usually discarded takeaways....zeuses favourite!

oh my days.....local shop put out 2 bags of out of date goodies for me!! 30 sandwiches, 12 hot dogs, 12 pies, 6 boxes ham!! wowsers. zeus wasnt impressed with me having to lug that lot around on our walks, but was happy when he got home and saw our goodies!!

Last thing I brought home was a Harry Potter book for my daughter.
Used to pick loads of stuff up years ago , late 80s, 90s but now you get done for fly tipping.

Actually I tell a lie it was a big mirror someone had in their front garden. They were pleased i'd saved them a trip to the tip.
Years ago I put out a lovely girls bike at my gate with a free sign on. A woman knocked and asked if she could take it .... yes, thats fine. A few weeks later I had a load of abuse on the bus because I wanted to get off the bus while she was trying to barge past me,was the woman I'd let take the bike!

Dad in hospital so very worried.

Was walking with my head down yesterday only to look to the side and nearly fall over.  Someone had put out a huge ornate/gilded mirror for anyone to take.  Modern but good quality.

When I got it back to my parent's house (the womble in me needed a treat) my sister-in-law spied it and asked me how much I wanted for it.  I gave it to her.  She is one of the most generous of people that I know.  She was due something lovely.

This is the 2nd lovely mirror I have picked up in the last 6 months.  Weird.......
