If you are ever in a hotel lobby, sit down on sofas and check the side of the cushions. I found 18 pounds one day alone that way. Needed it - I was almost broke and was almost needing money from home to survive the trip. I found enough over a couple of days to get me home.10

I've found a 5 French Franc coin and a round three pence coin on the seafront today. It all adds to the collection.3

This weekend, the glint of silver at floor level caught my eye and bending down I could see more just under the front edge of the machine. Scooped it up quickly and counting at home - about £11! Might be a bit obvious to go back with a ruler to go deeper
