My bill is £1805.00 between October 2019 and June 2020 but for 12 months of this bill my house was completely empty as I moved out.
... Do you know if someone from the companies comes onto these forum to answer our questions?
No, you won't get anyone from Scottish Power answering on here, but you will get helpful comments from other members if we can get the story straight...
So are which period are you really referring to for the bill of £1805.00 ?
It can't be October 2019 - June 2020 since it is only 9 months, or is the 'for 12 months of that' bit wrong?
You say they had your email address wrong so that explains the lack of a 'welcome' pack, but were you getting paper bills in the mail?
    If so how often?
What exactly are you hoping for here? It sounds like you've been down the Ombudsman route and been awarded a token gesture.
Unless there is new information I don't think there is much more to be done there.
There will be other questions, but if we can get the basics straight people can help.

I'm none the wiser about your complaint.  You've been offered £60 for the angst, and it won't get much better than that.
Have you lost out financially?  You haven't provided any evidence.
I'd guess that the top two mistakes are involved somewhere, estimated bills caused by failing to give meter readings, and failing to understand that Fixed Direct Debit isn't All You Can Eat, it's just a kitty.
And if Scottish Power are really so dire, why have you stayed with them for three years?

I was trying to help by asking for the meter readings related to the £1800 bill - just to see it it was justified and to assist in getting some redress if not.  @Biscuit_Tin made a very valid observation about you reference to the Ombudsman, and you jump to talking about June 2018.  At which point I am totally lost.  Would love to help but I can't work out what it is you're complaining about.

In that case I apologise.  As you can see i am a little stressed.  Unfortunately I havent got my meter readings with me today.  I can get them later on.  The reason I mentioned June 2018, is the complaint is from 2018. My complaint is the fact I was told it was my responsibility to keep an eye on my online account, I didnt know I had an online account, I paid everything via direct debit, I did not receive paper bills, the person I complained to at Scottish power said he had my email address down wrong.  If you do not agree to a companies terms and conditions can they still bill you on a high tariff?

Hello , sorry the enquiry is on going from October 2019 to June 2020, my error with the date.  Yes the adviser confirmed my email address had been incorrect, thats why I hadn't received the correspondence.  No I did not receive paper bills.
My question is ;- If I did not sign a contract or make a verbal agreement about this ONLINE account I was responsible for, can they still charge me for a higher tariff , even though I didn't know it was my responsibility to check the tariff?

No one signs a contract for utilities these days - it is all done online or (as you did) by phone.
When did SP correct your email ? After that I think that it is all down to you as you agreed to manage the  account online.

As your original fix would have expired in June 2018 then the tariff would have reverted to SP's standard tariff.
Please explain where this £1805 come from.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

The fact you became a customer at some point implies you agreed to some terms and conditions - did you ever see them? Were you aware of your tariff having an end date? Did you never receive any bills? What was the Ombudsman's £60 for? (Sorry for so many questions).

It sounds like the Ombudsman has already ruled on that one, but do tell us if the compliant you raised was on a different topic...
In short though, you entered into a verbal agreement and then made no attempt to contact your supplier when you received no bills and never tried to supply a meter reading either from the sound of things.
At this point I'd be inclined to focus on getting the current position of your account up to date, with current meter readings and figure out if you might be better switching provider, but this time do it online, don't depend on a phone call where there may be many pieces of information offered in a short space of time.
The original offer on the phone will have mentioned that they were offering you a tariff with a 12 month fixed price, they will also have said they were sending you more details by email, the time to contact them would have been when the email didn't arrive, not a couple of years later...
It is a tough lesson perhaps, but we all need to be responsible for checking these things for ourselves, don't just remain in blissful ignorance for years then complain nobody told you when you had ignorred even the most basic point like the failure to receive the initial email....
Sorry, I don't mean this to be harsh, just realistic. There are many and frequent reasons to criticise the energy companies for their failings, but we have to do at least the minimum responsible things like contact them if you don't hear from them...
