Scottish Power

Has anyone been told by Scottish Power that you need to keep an eye on your tariff ? this can be found on your Online account? However I was never made aware I had an on line account? or that I needed to check the tariffs? They cold called me when I was a customer of First Utility, they offered me a cheaper deal if I switched to Scottish power.  No one at Scottish Power explained this on line account at all. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?  I have asked Scottish Power for a copy of the call which shows I agreed to this or something I may of signed? When I asked them , they informed me I am going off scope and going around in circles, I asked to speak to a manager, and was told , the person I was speaking to is a manager? they are so rude to me.  My bill is £1805.00 between October 2019 and June 2020 but for 12 months of this bill my house was completely empty as I moved out.  No one is helping me.  Has anyone else had the same thing? Energy Ombudsman offered me £60 off my bill. I declined this offer, and haven't heard anything else.

What were the meter readings in Oct 2019 and in June 2020?
  • I gave them the readings, they explained i was on the wrong tariff, it was my fault for not changing the tariff over?

When you switched to SP did you get a email - sometimes called a Welcome Pack ?  It is common for accounts for you to agree to operate them online which means you give meter readings online, received your bills on line ...........
Can you give us some detail about your bill please - the opening reading which you would have given them and todays readings. I presume you have been giving SP monthly readings.  What has been your DD ?  This is Gas and Electric
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

How could you have already followed the suppliers complaint procedure, taken it to the ombudsman, and got a proposed resolution from them regarding a bill that included June 2020???

When /If you are sent a proposed resolution by the ombudsman, you are provided with your options.

If you've rejected it, that's end of story as far as the ombudsman is concerned, and usually the supplier does stop communicating with you directly when you escalate matters to the ombudsman.
  • Its been ongoing since Jan 2018, its not this June , however I have been billed to date over the phone.  The ombudsman was a complaint made from Jan 2018, we still haven't solved the case.

    Hi,
those dates are only about 9 months, is the bill for a different period?
