Why not just let the viewing at the weekend go ahead? Its only a few days away. There is no chance of completing by beginning of August even if you start process today - 4/5 weeks away? No chance.

We will be anyway, theyre making demands, so our demand is to let this Saturday viewer have a chance too.
  • Sounds fair as long as the people who have made the offer have been told openly that you will proceed with the viewing on Saturday.
  • Is it reasonable for you to entertain further viewings since the current offer is below what you were wanting and hasn't been accepted? Yes. There is nothing wrong with that. You have made it clear to them what it would take for you to stop marketing the property.

Is it reasonable to accept this 'low' offer and then continue to allow viewings? No. You can insist, but the current buyer and your EA will both be seriously unimpressed.

The EA suggested it, to be honest.
We have now accepted their offer, but they have responded saying "We are going to discuss it now"...

I dont know what theyre doing!....

I expect they are wondering what YOU are doing. What does an acceptance mean if you can change your mind. I'd think they don't take you seriously.

Why? To them, we have accepted an offer, nothing more.

They wanted you to accept the we will move out offer.
The problem is you don't have a place to buy and they know that.

To be fair, getmore, I think Scythi has made it clear to the potential buyer that accepting their offer meant that Scythi ain't going to move until the chain moves, however long that takes.

Their 'low' offer is them accepting this - they will move into rented themselves, if needed.

They have now said they may change their minds because they have to look at rented accommodation. We will know more tomorrow before 5pm.
    This is getting annoying now.
