Thanks libra10. I'm one of these people who thinks if it was available on the old forum it should be available on the new forum even if it is in a different format. Progress should be helpful not unhelpful. As I said previously I used to sort the main list in date order and then just work through the date I wanted instead of scrolling through page after or having a serach option that does not pick up everything you want. You could also tick the "enter" and "skip" button from the main list whether it was sorted or not and also you could tick from any sorted list.

Thank you Misslayed. It does seem to be on the list. It's just a very long time coming.

Back on page 2 of this thread I posted a photo showing that these new drop down sorting menus were briefly live on 30th June, so they're definitely already working on them  They were quickly removed, because I think they were still tweaking their functionality, but you can at least see where they will be placed and how they will be used - when I clicked on the drop down menu on the right (in my photo) it had a second option to sort the list by closing date. It seems like this end date sorting will actually work better on the new forum than it did on the old forum, because instead of being 01/08 followed by 01/09 before being followed by 02/08 and then 02/09 like on the old forum (since the old forum used numerical 0 to 9 chronological ordering), the new forum will presumably specifically create a list by exact chronological closing date instead, so 01/08, 02/08 etc until getting to 01/09, 02/09 etc.

I believe that Sorting by end date will eventually be available, but it depends on:-
    1. Completion of the upgrades that were introduced on 30/06 (they were live for a couple of hours but removed as testing showed they weren't working fully)
    2. All competitions having the "new" end date. This will be gradual until all comps posted before 30/06 finish (unless posters edit these old competitions to insert a date).

Thanks Misslayed, I was going to comment on the above thread but it appears to be closed.  Could you please pass this on to the relevant person?:

I've just posted up this comp and noticed a new closing date field but it only has date not time, so where ie the comp I posted ends at midday that could be a problem. Hopefully the techie team are working on this.

Very happy to see the ticks and crosses back on the main page BUT is anyone else finding that the odd comp will not accept either a tick or a cross? It has happened twice now, both when trying to select on the main page and also when going into the comp thread.  Very odd.
