Can I creep back in please? Definitely going to make a solid effort to check in with you all this month. My new habit I want to form is to drink more water, some days I live off of coffee alone. I also want to try to meditate a few times per week, I'll go with 2 so it's more achievable
My three gratitudes today:
- I have created hopefully an airtight budget for this month on YNAB
- I think I have finally secured the cone of shame on my kitten after his snip, though I thought I had last night and he was cone-less when he woke me up for breakfast this morning
- We have managed to stick to our meal plan all week so far5 -
apple_muncher said:Dd had an eye test about 10 days ago and when we went into town, it was really unnerving to just see lots of people around. It was a Sat afternoon and we would usually go in the morning - but the only appts were pm ones. Dd was decidedly nervous about seeing all those other bodies there!5

3 gratitudes today:
1) Grateful that I bought a bike at the beginning of lockdown that has been a godsend
2) Grateful to have a steady job and salary in these uncertain times
3) Grateful to have food in to make a nice curry!
I need to cut down on my coffee habit - buying coffee out is a big issue for me!!3 -
Really like the “How do I fix my life?” post, Apple. Although I was really wary about going out Himself has remarked that I seem a lot brighter now that I've taken the plunge and done it. Looking at that list I can see all the things that I've been missing over the last three months.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
(whoops - originally left a huge bit of apple's post in - sorry x)
Day 1
Not a NSD - Tesc0 shop - instead of 1 huge shop/ week I find it better for our house to do 2 med-large shops/ week - also means we constantly have enough fresh milk/ fruit/ veg. Today's shop was prompted by a distinct lack of f&v in the house so I bought lots, along with chicken, ham, eggs, rolls, cheese, milk and some cupboard & lunchbox items. We really haven't spent much at all except on food and occasional fuel in lockdown (and some smkt clothing items for growing children - total c £70)
Have been researching the local homeless mission and what they need today - have added some of their 'wished for' items to my next supermarket shopping list (Tesc0 trip was at 8am, so before research) Still have a huge pile of items in the garage for the CS. May actually list some on flebay as a job lot for carbooting and if it sells G-Aid the money to charity instead - our local CS is only small and easily overwhelmed. They have, however, contacted me about volunteering with them - just awaiting the last checks and I shall be sorted
No birthdays this month. Do have best friend's big bday next month, so should start planning for that. Do have 4 x barber visits, 2 x dentist trips (@ c £50 each) + 1 very expensive school uniform trip for DS3 (moving to secondary - different one & uniform entirely from his siblings and 2nd hand uniform shop is not open until at least Sept due to C0vid) Will do DS2's uniform and shoes/ sports boots for both of them in August. Cannot think of other big spend items at mo (should've been going on holiday in 2nd half of month so we may have a themed big meal instead)
Habits - eat less carp and snacks in general & more fruit/ veg overall - consistently. More movement of body on a consistent basis. (Lost 1 stone approx a few days after f0xh0les did - however I then put 8.5lb of that back on.... - now shifting that re-gain and then will work on getting more lbs off)
Today I am thankful for the sunshine, for early shopping, for a lazy day, for strawberries

Have sorted out my budget for each category this month. Was a spend day as I did a top up food shop, brought some toiletries, greeting cards - birthdays and anniversary, natural remedy drops that help with my anxiety, charity donation. I was going to pay for a subscription that I need to do for a document that is needed for some work places, but the website was having maintenance, so will leave this to next week. .
Grateful for:

I am not certain, but I think Apple is trying to get me arrested...Do you think if you touch someone whilst outside then you get double happy? or just happy quicker, leaving you with more time on your hands? I am all about the efficiency, but it is due to rain for the next 4 days here. One of my colleagues bought the local rag to find out more about the lockdown area (page 1, 2, and 3) and on the next page was a guide to the most popular d0gg1ng sites in Le Shire and the social etiquette pertaining to such activities! She is never buying the paper again, Bit irresponsible during the current climate I feel.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Your local paper sounds a lot more entertaining than ours @f0xh0lesNot a NSD for me today as I bought some seeds online (for next year's veg). While I was spending anyway I sent a cash donation to the local food bank. Under normal circumstances I buy items in the supermarket when I am doing my own shopping and place them in the food bank collection trolley, but supermarkets are out for me atm, so this was the next best thing. Lots of people unfortunately losing their jobs currently, so hope it helps someone out. Most of the direct debits went out today, the buildings and contents insurance wants renewing and our old camper van is in the garage having some work done, so a pricey start to the month. Only really buying groceries and other necessities (little things like bag clips and clothes pegs needed replacing, nothing expensive) and paying bills at the moment though, so hoping to rack up those NSDs!5

I can confirm the cone is still firmly attached to the kitten7
