DCBL Scam

Would like some assurance as had a letter from dcbl Notice of Debt recovery unpaid parking charge of £170 from June 2016 and had no parking fine issued and this has nothing to with me for any fine.
The phone number is a dead line.
I think this is a scam and please help.
Thank you

Does is reference a vehicle with a VRM? Does that VRM match a vehicle that you own or have ever owned or recently sold? If not, it is possible it is a typo or ANPR mismatch. Since it is a debt recovery firm, so they make reference to a parking company? Whatever, debt crawlers are powerless.3

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up,
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -

It is not a fine.
Common parking acronyms are explained in the fifth post of the NEWBIES sticky thread that asks you to read it before posting, and Ralph-y provided a link to as well.
I suggest you print or write out the abbreviations and acronyms before continuing.
The fourth post of the NEWBIES tells you why it is safe to ignore powerless debt collectors.
Never ever 'phone a debt crawler or parking scammer.
Once you have had a thorough read of the NEWBIES, please answer the questions from other posters so we can advise you better.
