My parents have bats in their airing cupboard

I've just read through this post in increasingly more horror and disgust at, not only your behaviour, but your appalling attitude towards this issue.
Nobody is skirting around the issue, you are being told point blank to your face but you just don't want to listen.
You have broken the law. You are now a criminal.
Just because you didn't know the law or bother looking into it, that is YOUR fault. You would not be able to use that as a reason in court. "Sorry sir but my dad told me to do it, and I didn't know the law."
You would be effing crucified. And rightly so!
On discovery of the bats you spoke with the council. They would have told you about not disturbing them. You ignored that. Same as you ignored everyone's advice on here, and then CONTINUED to further break the law by using sonic noise makers and bright lights.
Your attitude on the whole thing is vile. Just because you don't think they are pretty to look at or you don't know what their purpose is, doesn't invalidate them at all. Maybe you should do a bit of god damn research into them and educate yourself.
As for the amount of times you've suggested your mum might die of fright and referred to her as 'poor mum'- maybe you should realise that your mother isn't that fragile, and if she is that fragile a fright could kill her then she needs to be down the doctors and under an occupational therapist.
Lots of wildlife makes its way into our homes, in search of food, comfort or safe nesting. I have a huge phobia of wasps as I'm hugely allergic. I don't kill them though...
Want to know why?
Because despite the fact that I think they are giant a*sh*les and don't offer anything really, I actually researched them before hand and found out that if I kill one it will release a pheromone, a distress signal as such, and many more will come to eat me.
I think that's the point people are trying to get you to see, which you really aren't getting. Before you moved them or touched them, you should have CHECKED. We have internet if you couldn't get any advice over the phone(and you have the internet obviously...) At least that way you wouldn't have broken the law and killed six+ baby bats. Not that you care anyway.
It just seems for 16pages you've been making excuse after excuse and it's wearing a little thin now.
And I agree with the others, if mum was that distressed you were fearing her dying from shock, her reticence to leave her environment wouldn't have made a stuff all of difference. If it was my mum and I was that worried I would have frog marched her to the car.2 -
