Are users eventually forced to update to latest version of Windows 10?

  • Here are the logs, though I would be surprised if they show anything that might be causing the problem, there are nine logs in total these are the last four, the later time stamped being at the top.

Another thing to try (apart from sfc) is this: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image which repairs/replaces W10 image. Failing that I suggest reverting W10 back (as I had to do 2 days ago) but saving your data, but as I had to do you'll have to reinstall all your apps which were installed after new.

I know Domestos kills 99% of germs, but I'm worried about the 1% that got away.

Just to add, if you're going for latter option either back up your data first, just in case, or take an image (I use Macrium Reflect) and save it on another drive.

In the log, oem28.inf and oem29.inf seem to be blocking the upgrade. They do not have signed drivers. I have no idea what these are (manufacturer's own drivers?)

They could be anything ranging from Intel (or AMD) drivers to Nvidia drivers to ......... ?
If you open them in Notepad then it may give a clue as to what they relate.
