According to Curry's (....oops!) Epson's Cheetah T0711 Black Ink Cartridge is compatible with the following printers: Epson Stylus D78, D92, and D120 WiFi printers; DX4000, DX4500, DX4400, DX4450, DX5000, DX5050, DX6000, and DX6050 multifunction printers. It can also be used with the Stylus DX700F, DX7400, DX7450 AIO printers and Stylus DX9400F and DX9400F WiFi Edition inkjet printers.

I switched to a lazer printer a couple of years ago.
Light user (after kids left school) and fed up of ink drying up and having to constantly clean the heads before being able to print anything.
A set of 5 compatible toner cartridges (2 black, 1 each of colour) cost around £30, but I'm still not even half way through the "sample" ones supplied.0 -
stator said:Buy a colour laser printer. Best decision I ever made. Hardly ever replace the toner and there are no heads that need cleaning, so no wastage.
However, for lower volume users it is not so simple. I never print photos at home (you can get them done online for a few pence each and they have much better equipment) and printing may be only a few pages a month - I don't bother printing hotel/airline confirmations now as they are all on my phone. I probably use the scanner more than the printer on my inkjet.
Actually, once consequence of so many people working from home is that printers/scanners seem to be out of stock everywhere. I have an ancient Epson which is on its last legs and could do with replacement. Third party inks are cheap but once the printer head goes then you may as well replace the whole thing.0 -

Thank you.Sorry to say that I have struggled to identify any new Epson printers which take these cartridges in the "inexpensive" range for home use. I suspect these cartridges are for printers that are no longer manufactured. The range I was looking at in particular was the Epson SX range, but it seems that they are no longer current models, although you may be able to pick up a second hand one in working order from online sites such as Ebay.Maybe there are other forum members who have better product knowledge who can make more specific suggestions. My own printer is an Epson SX 200 which is the most reliable printer I have ever had and is just so inexpensive to run.Best of luck !!Further to my response above, please see link just now included for a new Epson SX200 on Ebay. This is the make and model of printer I have used for many years and which indeed uses the spare cartridges your granddaughter has. Price looks reasonable although I think it is inviting bids. It shows I think even if you don't go for this, that they do become available from time to time if you can be bothered to look.

If you don't need colour prints go for a mono laser printer, no expensive cartridges to buy or clog up your printer."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

The Epson SX200 is ancient, about 12 years old, from Windows XP era. I have two XP442's. They have no problems with 50p cartridges from Ebay. Just remember to print a colour sheet of A4 every 2 - 3 weeks to keep the print heads clear and never update the firmware. Latest equivalent model is XP3100 if you can get hold of one.0
