The car ladder?

Honestly OP, I think PistonHeads would be a better place to post this - it's full of well-off people trying to get the most bang for their buck.
All you'll tend to find here is the 'leasing is a scam', 'all garages are a rip off (Hi Fred!) and 'why would you want a fast car, you can only do 70 anyway' people.
Come say hello on PH, you won't be disappointed.
Seriously, if the OP was looking for the best current deal on a new M2C/car or choice then someone might have been able to help him, but it just seems he wants validation that blowing £30K a year on monthly payments is the norm.0 -

Good drivers. Fast cars. All dead.

Seriously though in M2C the C stands for 'Competition'. I would rather the OP drive these cars on a track rather than the road. It's safer for him and the rest of us. The insurance for these is sky high. It's not because the cars expensive. It's because they put people in wheelchairs for the rest of their lives. Deaths are normally cheaper.0 -

It's just the name they gave to the tweaked version when they facelifted it. 10% more power from a different engine (almost certainly the change is primarily driven by emissions), and a couple of other minor tweaks.
And thus they sucker the gullible in to "must upgrade".
Sure, you could use it on trackdays. Or you could take a £1k 20yo 206GTi on the exact same track days, have a lot more fun, worry a hell of a lot less, and learn a lot more about how a car actually behaves near the limit.
Cars like this aren't about actually using the performance. You can't. Nobody can on the road, and very very few can even on track. They're about posing.0 -
So I am supposed to be impressed if I see one? But I wouldn't know what it was. There's so many that look like that now. I always remember sitting in a group of work colleagues. One of them said to me "you know my car?" I had no idea what he drove but I assumed he would have a car. "Er no, I guess you probably have one". So he asked everyone else. No-one knew what he drove. Turned out he had a £100K Mercedes. It was embarrassing because he obviously thought everyone would be impressed by his car but nobody had any interest. I guess you have to be interested to be impressed.0

Obviously I have now googled M2C. Loads of BMWs look like that.1
