Thanks for the advice. I have an accountant and he’s always said get EV for the tax benefits I suppose I’ll give him a call next week and find out how that works. I really haven’t found an EV I like having test driven a Tesla I didn’t enjoy it but it’s worth exploring I think!
Forget about the M2, and order a Taycan. There is already a 12months+ waiting list, you will loss next to nothing in deprecation for next few years, and you can effectively write off a big part of the cost via clever accounting.

In you're position it's a no brainer, have a nice car, almost deprecation free, and reduce your tax bill.

If I was on a £100K a year at 23 I'll be looking at the best saving and investing options along with good private pension etc with a goal of very early retirement. The "super" cars can wait until then. :)
At £100k before 30, perumsming on going income growth you can have anything you want. Freeting about PCP/lease deals on something like a M2 seems a bit pointless.

I know something that goes well with Apple Crumble.  Has the OP ever owned a Mazda?
    With or without rear brakes?
I was surprised it got to page 7 before a link was made - or in this new global reality of history being erased are we no allowed to talk about him  :D

passion for things that go fast and pop and bang.
I remember seeing the corpse of a teenager whose sports car had left the road and hit a large solid tree. It turned out he had a mega rich father who had paid for the car and more importantly the astronomical insurance premium. Very sad to see but it makes you wonder how large insurance premiums add to safety for young drivers. I was reminded when the OP said he likes to hear the bang from the car. Was that the sort of bang you are thinking of?

The first thought I had, on reading the OP and subsequent posts.  Have a new baby in the house so there are some distractions

During my breaks at work I've been doing a bit of research on the Cayman GT4/GTS (2016 models) maybe some of the Porsche experts could give me their thoughts on that? @motorguy it's not letting me reply to you for some reason
Ah - i thought you were ignoring me!  :D

Do your homework on them - but my immediate gut feeling is that it would be a much better bet than something in the M2C league.

Come over to Pistonheads.  Theres a lot of very knowledgeable people over there who'll be happy to help.  Porsche sub forum too.  Spec is key so make sure the spec is right.

Also there are many Porsche / Cayman / Boxster forums about so definitely delve in to those too.

    :)

Sounds like you're obsessed with an M2C whatever that is.
Oddly, you knew what it was a few pages back - "He had changed his from something like an M2 to an M2C"

Ah yes, the inevitable thread explosion when MSE meets a car enthusiast who doesn't want to 'go as fast as they can for £2k'.
Honestly OP, I think PistonHeads would be a better place to post this - it's full of well-off people trying to get the most bang for their buck.

All you'll tend to find here is the 'leasing is a scam', 'all garages are a rip off (Hi Fred!) and 'why would you want a fast car, you can only do 70 anyway' people. :)

Come say hello on PH, you won't be disappointed.
