Barclaycard Rewards Visa card not fully supported in Google Pay?

I also have gone back to using my actual Barclaycard rather than the contactless on the phone app although it is useful to know that should you loose your card you can always as an emergency turn on the contactless on your phone

 I did briefly consider using Samsung Pay but found that they have the setting 'always use location even when the app is not running'  set and it is greyed out and you can't turn it off so they are obviously doing some kind of tracking so that was a deal breaker for me

You could have tried Samsung Pay but it still wouldn't have worked with a Barclays issued card.

I think that's what they paid the intern to code the app. I mean only kids use apps??

FWIW Samsung Pay keeps saying the Visa card details are invalid.

I found plenty of tales of woe similar to mine at https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/5788151?hl=en. Barclays, even with their deep pockets, just don't seem to "get it".
