Barclays said it was 120 days from the date of payment which was in January
    worth a read here - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/visa-mastercard-chargeback/
"However, Visa and Mastercard have confirmed that in the case of future-dated items, such as airline tickets or sport matches the 120 day time limit begins once you were due to receive the goods or service."
  • We booked two flight tickets through last minute.com in November 2019 to fly to Australia in September 2020. Due to the pandemic the airline cancelled our flights (which were with Malaysia airline) in July 2020 and last minute.come notified us that it was processing our refund but we had to wait until after the flight date to receive a refund. Fast forward to January 2021 the refund has finally be confirmed after many ignored emails, and that we needed to confirm the method of refund.

Unfortunately, as many of you have stated, there are three options to choose from 1) credit note 2) voucher 3) request refund directly from the airline (but a cash refund is not guaranteed with this option) and there would be a £30 handling fee for the privilege!

It’s been over a year since we booked those flights, 7 months since they were cancelled and 5 months since our refund was being processed.

we’re totally stuck as to what to do next as we want a full cash refund (as we know we are 100% fully entitled to). But last minute.com are being a total hassle to deal with.

Does anyone have a propositions as to how we can successfully close this fiasco?!?!

    many thanks

You are not entitled to a full cash refund. You are entitled to a refund of the value of the flights, less an administration fee (the £30 fee you mention, which is entirely reasonable and allowed under the relevant legislation). Tell them you wish them to refund you, accept they will charge the admin fee, get the vast majority if your money back.

Rather than post the same question on multiple threads it would probably be more productive to flesh out your posts with your circumstances.

When did you receive your travel credit and what for? What steps have you taken so far in contacting Lastminute? How did you pay?

Just seen this having replied in much the same vein on another of janvs11's posts.
  • Hello! I am waiting for three refunds from Last Minute . Com - emails go back and forth and i've started emailing ukescalations@lastminute.com. I've called and called but their phone is not accepting phone calls - and the total owed to me is £1700.00 - there is no way that they can keep my money for services not provided.
I have received two separate replies to two different emails I sent for two of the three trips:
1.) "We would like to inform you that your request has been received and is awaiting management by our teams. Unfortunately we can not guarantee, since the voucher has already been expired."
2.) "Please be advised that  I did request this before the voucher expired and I have yet to receive either my money back or an extension to my voucher."

I am still awaiting a reply to my email to customer care for the third trip.

What else can I do to get my money back? I've always used Last Minute . Com....
    Thanks.

Just to give some of you hope....

I booked flights last march through lastminute.com. A month before the flight (July 2020) the flight was cancelled.

After months of communication and escalation by my on resolver.co.uk, today I received a full cash refund for the flights.

It took a while as originally, they didn't get the refund from the flight operator (and didn't chase it). I think you will get there with them, it just takes and age...

Why didn't you do a chargeback - would have been far quicker.

You would be hard pushed to find any company which has been worse to deal with than lastminute.com. They were dragged kicking and screaming into paying refunds by the threat of legal action, and even then have pushed vouchers rather than cash.
