There’s a board of hundreds of people in the same situation right here - read some other threads on them for more information and how people have fared with their quest for a refund.Queenofdigital_2 said:Hi, I booked a flight with Lastminute.com back in January for a flight to Turkey May 10th to 26th May 2020 and I still have not received a refund.. Anyone else experienced the same? I have sent last minute several emails but they have not replied. I tried calling them but it was automated call and I could not speak to a human.
I do not know what to do. Is there a travel ombudsman group I can contact? The amount is over £230 and is a lot of money.
Thank you.0 -
Update!!! So I have contacted last minute loads, the last message tonight to find out what is happening and the response I have just said we have seen confirmation of your booking and we will not be issuing a refund!!!! !!!!!!?! How can they do that when the flight out was cancelled they didn’t get in touch with me to tell me they haven’t done anything! Where do I stand?lrock75286 said:
Thank you I’m in two minds whether to wait and see if they get in touch as I have nothing in writing the trip is cancelled or to contact my credit card company now and ask what is best to do.Butts said:
I had only paid the deposit (luckily) and when it became clear the Holiday would not go ahead did not pay the balance,lrock75286 said:
Thank you, I have emailed them twice and both times they sent the same reply just that their is a flight change and some one will be in touch. Did you get a full refund?Butts said:
In my case they didn't without prompting, although to be fair I only got them to admit it had been cancelled a few days before the departure date in early August.lrock75286 said:Hi, can anyone tell me when last minute let them know their trip was cancelled, due to fly to Las Vegas next tuesday. This should be cancelled as there are restrictions on flying to America. I bought it as a single package holiday from last minute.com but as of yet I have nothing from them confirming it has been cancelled. I’ve checked the flight and that shows it’s been cancelled. Thanks
This is despite the fact BA cancelled the flights in June .Thanks
They tried to take it off the card I had registered with them, unfortunately I had "lost it" and they had no details of it's replacement.
I went straight into a chargeback before the holiday was due to depart and got my money back within a week from Capital 1.Might just turn up to the airport on Tuesday and get a selfie to show there is no flight 😂0 -
I booked flights to Orlando back in January for a holiday in Aug. Obviously my flights were cancelled. I keep getting email to say my refund is in process then after a month I get asked the same question, do I want a refund and then the email we have received your request do not contact us. Has anyone actually got there refund? Starting to wonder if I'll ever get my money back! It was over £1200 so starting to get worried. Any ideas what I can do?0

A cursory search of the site combining that and LastMinute.com should bear fruit.0 -
So I've been fighting with Lastminute.com for about 3 weeks now regarding them refunding my deposit. On the 7th September they informed me that on the 14th September I didn't have to pay the remaining balance for my trip to NYC on the 13th October 2020 as one or more of my flights had been cancelled. So I asked if they would process the refund or my deposit that I had paid last year. They then emailed me 2 weeks later with an 'alternative' flight (which was on the same day just an hour later) and that I had to pay the full amount otherwise they would charge me a cancellation fee! So I sent them the screenshots of their emails confirming I didn't have to pay the full amount as my holiday had been cancelled - they then emailed me saying the refund is being dealt with my the relevant department and it's subject to what BA say... they are ignoring all of my emails now and I still haven't had a refund from them!! Any advice on what I can do now?0

you are well within 120 days from date of your flightkatie_lock1996 said:I've tried that but my bank told me under VISA regulations they only have the rights to dispute payments backdated 120 days0 -
It’s the date of the payment or the date the contract should have been fulfilled. Therefore the date you should have had your flight0
