Pay day for DH today which is technically the end of our grocery month so I am declaring my figures for July. Ideally I would like not to spend anything else until I am paid on the 31st and am making meals work this week with what we have in.  Mind, this is more because I don't like recording what I see as August pay check spending in July on YNAB.

    Declaring an overspend for July:
    Groceries £515.99/£450
    Bulk Buys  £35.28/£40

See you all over on the August thread  :)
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Went to Lidl earlier. Now sure what was going on but there was massive amounts of loo roll (stacked taller than me and taking up half the isle too!) Are they expecting a huge run on loo roll here or is Tuesday evening just when everyone stocks up? :o:D Forgot carrots again so will have to make do. I seem to keep forgetting to buy carrots recently... I think I overdid it buying and using them up in early lockdown so my mind seems to be, unhelpfully, subconciously avoiding them!
It is really close now! I've spent £165.18 out of a max spend of £167.40 so far. Needs to last until the end of the month. Will be trying my best not to spend anything between now and Fri when my food month ends! :D
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

£25.11 Between Morries and Food Warehouse, (Iceland) needed tonic water and got some store cupboard bits in Morries, plus a few y.s.bits, F.W. for Lamb burgers, seem to be the only place to get them now, and some y.s. salami.
Do I need it or just want it.

Hi, not been on as computer broke! But have spent a few more pounds, now on £179.36/£200, shopping on thursday, hope to stay under the £200. The freezers seem to be just as full as they were at the start of the month. Must empty them a bit, they both need defrosting and we'll have two pigs to go in  later this year, also probably mutton. We did the final shop of the month last night. It will take us into next month but I didn't want to confuse things by trying to shop twice to divide it up. So I am declaring on £548.49/550 for July. I am actually under budget. That hasn't happened in a long time! Lockdown has meant no school meals/snacks for my 3 children and that has made a big impact on my budget. I always spend less during the holidays when they eat at home. It's tempting to add another budget line of school meals as I can't control or influence this. Something to think about.

@Chloris it sounds to me that as you usually have to pay for school meals/snacks then a separate line makes perfect sense.
