There should be very little spent this week as we are away in our caravan and have bought most of our food with us. The only things I'm likely to need are potatoes & butter. That should help the budget for this month!

£6.71 in Asda, took a friend as she had a parcel to return through Asda service, she had rung their customer services to confirm, they refused to take the parcel, so will try another collection service, but as mentioned I spent the above, I have promised another friend to shop same place Friday, so will probably spend another small amount for my pains.Do I need it or just want it.8

Popped out today to get the potatoes and butter but DH decided he fancied pie for lunch so we bought some chicken & ham pies plus some olives. Total spend £11.99.

Hi all. Running out of milk today, but nothing else needed desperately. Sent OH to petrol station for it. £1.49, twice what I would pay at farmfoods, but that is 8 miles away. Total so far £6.88/£200. Will do a proper shop later in the week, maybe Friday, mumtoomany.Frugal Living Challenge 2025.8

Shop done at lldl and salnsbuys last night £74.57. Not too bad as I needed to buy a number of chicken things for my ds. I've still got to pay the milkman but I need to call and cancel the juice for the weekend as there is plenty left from Monday. I also forgot a battery (for the scales!) and limes so I think I'll incorporate that into a walk later.
I've already got the bread maker on for a loaf to go with a vat of minestrone soup for lunch. It will be back on this afternoon as homemade burger buns were such a success last week they have been requested today. I'll also make mung bean curry this week as those beans have been waiting a while.
@Doom_and_Gloom I love reading your meal plans. We have 3 vegans here so it's nice to see your ideas. Inspired by you, vegan okinomiyaki has made it onto the meal plan this week. We've never made it before so I'll trial it at lunch. Thank you for the idea.

Well I had a very good week last week £60 spent instead of the 100-150 I would normally spend ,no food wasted but I have to admit I found it really ,really hard , still its a massive saving and really adds up over time so that's what I have to keep telling myself7
