My account too still says reward!Bet you wish that you hadn't said that ! Apparently Halifax zapped a lot of accounts from Reward to basic yesterday - even if, like Mrs. P and myself, you'd elected to stay in Reward. They also told me, mid-week, that they were only allowing one Reward Extra per customer - so that was why our joint had been zapped. I asked them to point out where it said that. After a couple of minutes, the call handler said that her superiors were giving her conflicting advice. So its the subject of a complaint - which they promise to respond to - wait for it - in no more than 35 calendar days.Halifax I.T. Why did they leave off the S and the H...

I think you mean standard or ordinary, rather than basic. Basic account these days means a specific type of current account which is intended for people with a poor financial history, who don't qualify for an ordinary current account, -with or without rewards. Halifax does have a Basic account, but their standard/ordinary account is just called Current Account.polymaff said:badmemory said:I too did not respond, which means that I should have been changed to just current account (not basic account) from reward account. Just logged on and found that the Extra Reward tracker is now reporting on only one of my accounts when it was tracking two earlier in the month. They have chosen to leave the Reward attached to the account I upgraded second. Oh well, such is life.polymaff said:badmemory said:I too did not respond, which means that I should have been changed to just current account (not basic account) from reward account. My account has only just been changed to a standard account yet I have still not had my final reward for MayI choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
Do what I did yesterday and upgrade any account(s) that have been un-Rewarded to Reward. Then log off and relog in to confirm that they are now Reward accounts - then check / reapply for the Reward Extras. Once you've done that use the Rewards Tracker - which should by then be showing the accounts' Reward Extras in place and TAKE A SCREENSHOT - for when you have to go through the "You're only allowed one Reward Extra" nonsense I was subjected to last week,General_Grant said:
