Ordered a hard drive on Amazon. Wrong item recieved... Amazon Deliberate Delays!
Comments

The thing is that they wind me up with more deliberate delay after more deliberate delay, and they wonder why get so frustrated? Cant they actually see what they are doing to me, and probably many others in a similar position?
That suggests to me that they do it deliberately.
I think the correct term for what Amazon are doing is "procrastination".
I can't "relax", the seller has my money and the item, and I have nothing and I'm out £188.80 for it.0 -
In your opinion.
If you haven't noticed, there's way more going on at the moment than just someone trying to buy (the correct) hard drive to play games.
Have some patience. The only person getting wound up and angry right now is you, and that's not helping anyone...1 -

I sent the drive back as requested on Monday via Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm on Tuesday.Royal Mail attempted to deliver the drive on Tuesday morning at 09:31, but what a surprise, nobody was in, or they ignored the doorbell. Been in contact with Amazon ever since, and to say that the customer service I have recieved is shambolic is an understatement! I have been called a liar repeatedly, hung up on, treated like I am stupid, and Amazon are deliberately delaying this whole thing.
I checked the tracking of the returned drive today, and it is still sat at the Post Office with "Pending" on the tracking info, suggesting that the seller has not collected it. (no surprise there!) It seems to me that Amazon are trying to hold on to the £190 for as long as possible, while inventing delay after delay to avoid returning it to me when I am entitled to it.
My question to MSE: Does anyone have a suggestions to get Amazon to stop treating me with contempt?
P.S. Please do let me know if any further info is needed.I don’t understand why this is Amazon’s fault currently. The buyer admittedly sent you the wrong item & asked you to send it back.
Theyve been unable to collect it for whatever reason yet. Amazon can’t process a refund nor would a seller until the item was received and checked it has been received.
Have some patience.
I believe your qualms with the service are most likely over the top due to your irrational emotional response to this issue.I’ve just returned an item to a clothing brand, it took 14 days from receipt to get the refund processed. I certainly didn’t have a meltdown1 -
Refunds take a few days, not 2 weeks! It's just a deliberate delaying tactic!0

If so, it's far to early to get worked up and assume that Amazon are out to get you as the retailer has up to 14 days to refund.
You discovered that it was the wrong item so you sent it back and you said that Royal Mail attempted delivery on Tuesday at 09.31 so going by the facts, delivery was only attempted yesterday so I don't understand why you are so worked up. Legally, the seller has 14 days to refund you and it's no where near that yet and if you left 1* feedback already, I doubt if the seller will be in any rush.

Amazon are treating me like a criminal.
A-Z team are slow, and invent excuse after excuse for deliberate delay.0 -
Sorry, OP, but you sound utterly unhinged.
This is a reasonable delay, I see no evidence of you being treated like a criminal. The seller made a mistake. Move on, and chill out. Maybe get a girlfriend?7 -
I think you are taking this far to personally. It isn't personal. We are in strange times and you have to expect that things take time. Not everybody is at your beck and call to do things when you want them to happen, they will happen within the legal time allowed.Past caring about first world problems.0

Because I paid with my debit card, it would be covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act of 1974 would it not?
I'm not even sure if you have a chargeback option here either ... @born_again might know (if they can be bothered to trawl through the emotional rants to pick out the salient facts).2
