I very much doubt that a judge would agree that such a forest of verbiage would constitute a valid offer to form a contract, especially if it was raining.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • yep, 710. Minimum of 3 minutes just to read the signs, never mind find and walk to each one.
Yeah, easily adds that. I assume this will be for my witness statement and for the hearing? I’ll start on that soon.
Thanks so far everyone, it’s really helping having support on this.

Any info on Lancaster courthouse success rates?
No idea, sorry.  But Judges are not stupid and the fact is, you paid (as Johnersh says).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Judges are well aware of the nature of these claims, he/she may even have been themselves ticketed by a scammer.

Hi, just an update. Received the notice of allocation to small claims track, and says I will be notified of a hearing date. It outlines the Covid details about remote hearing etc. saying the parties should discuss whether the hearing should be made remotely and inform the court within 14 days of this letter. So do I contact Gladstones and ask them if they are ok with the hearing being remote? Then do I email the court?

    Thanks
  • Oh, and this letter mentions the judge's name, I assume this judge will be the one dealing with the case? Other threads posted here with this judge have won, infact a thread with the same judge and same car park.

Well I would prefer waiting for a face to face, but I thought I would have to pay a cost for adjournment as mentioned in the thread posted above?

I wouldn't think asking for a face to face hearing would be categorised as seeking an adjournment?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
