I am trying to submit a defence online but the limit is 122 lines. My defence exceeds this. Am I better of sending it by post?

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, which tells you why you do not use the MCOL defence box and what you do instead.

Why have you jumped in on someone else's thread?  Do you have one of your own about your case?  Is your case about a private parking charge?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Do not try to submit a defence using MCOL.

If you are following the guide to court in the second post of the NEWBIES you will see that it specifically tells you NOT to send it online.

Do you have your own thread? If so, that's the place to ask questions, but this specific one is already answered in the NEWBIES.

What happened about your other PCN? Did it ever get resolved? (Please don't reply on this thread).

    Thanks. The post it is.
I parked on what appeared to be a public highway 5 years ago. I finally got a claim this week. The land is owned by the canl and river trust. Their bylaws say the maximum fine is £5. C&RT confirm the bylaws are still in force via a FOI request. I intend to use this as a defence. They also put signs up after the issued the notice on my car in front of witnesses and their uniformed officer told me and others to 'ignore the notice as it is unenforceable and they are just rying to get money by scaring people'. I hope my defence will work. Thoughts?

I am unable to open the attached example. Can anyone copy and paste it or send me a copy?

It opens for me but why are you trying to use this ~(old) example witness statement, we now recommend using @aphex007 or @SJRRJS
